Oura Authorisation Instructions for Athletes
Follow the steps below to enable the data captured from your Oura ring to flow into the Athlete Management System.
Before we start...
For us to collect your data and place it in the AMS we need your permission. We would like this data so your support staff (and you) can track your wellness, sleep and heart rate activity.
To collect this data, Oura needs you to confirm it is OK for us to have this data.
You can disable this process with Oura at any time and re-enable using this process at any time.
Steps to authorise Oura via the AMS Athlete APP:
STEP 1 - LOGIN
Login to your AMS Athlete application on your smartphone.
STEP 2 - ACCESS YOUR PROFILE
Click on settings to access your profile information.
STEP 3 - OPEN CONNECTED APPS
From the list of setting, click on 'connected apps'.
STEP 4 - AUTHORISE OURA HEALTH
Select 'OURA RING' from the connected APP options.
Click the 'SET UP' button.
You will be directed to login to your Oura account: Complete the login and follow the prompts to authorise the connection.
To revoke access to the Oura account, go to the app Settings > Connected apps > Oura Ring and use the toggle to disable the connection.
Steps to authorise Oura via a web browser:
STEP 1 - LOGIN
Login to AMS
Head to your nearest computer or laptop. Click here to access the AIS Athlete Management System.
STEP 2 - ACCESS YOUR PROFILE
Once you have logged into AMS, access you profile, this can be done a few different ways:
1) From the right-hand sidebar, click on the pencil icon (as seen on the image above) to go to your profiles.
2) From your home page, select the 'profile' button if it is visible to you. (See the image example below)
STEP 3 - AUTHORISE OURA HEALTH
Select ‘Authorise Oura Health’ from the list of profiles dropdown:
Click the orange ‘Authorisation Link’ button and you will be directed to sign into your Oura account:
Log in and follow the prompts to authorise the data sharing.
THAT'S IT!
Once successfully linked, you may close the Oura Connection window. If you are unsuccessful or have any problems, contact your sport’s AMS contact or ams@ausport.gov.au below.
