What is the AMS?
The Athlete Management System (AMS) is a nationally available web based platform supporting the National Sporting Organisations (NSOs) and the National Institute Network (NIN) with the aim of improving athlete health and performance outcomes. Ultimately, the AMS allows practitioners to collect and share relevant information promoting better decision making and improved service delivery. Essentially getting the right information to the right person at the right time.
The AMS can serve practitioners in improving health and performance outcomes by:
- Collecting, storing, analysing and reporting on athlete training and wellness data.
- Collecting and reporting on medical history and support needs.
- Allowing selective sharing of relevant information amongst practitioners to break down information silos.
- Providing a repository of administrative information of large cohorts of athletes to better understands service provision needs.
