Adding Crews, Assigning Equipment and MinimaX

It is important to ensure you have the correct crew (athlete) in the session in the right boat.

WHY?

Having the correct crew will also tag an athlete in being in that boat which is important if we want to analyse at the end of the year or training block how much time was spent in a particular boat

If an athlete is not in the session then the Garmin will not automatically upload to the session as it cannot find the correct person.  In addition, if they are in a team boat it is important you put them in the correct boat to be able to overlay their individual data as part of a crew

When a minimaX is imported it can only attach to a crew so if you don't have a crew then you cannot assign and mark-up a minimaX

Crews can be added after creating the session         

Alternatively, crews can be added in when going to session overview

Which Boat?

It should be pretty self explanatory

However,

PK1 - Is for Para Kayak boats

K1X - this is for extreme slalom boats

Adding Crews

If an athlete is selected in the initial attendance when creating the session, it will automatically populate the session with a K1 crew for that athlete if you added a preferred boat.

 If you are wanting crew boats, then delete the K1's and then either using favourites if you have established a favourite crew then select that one or go to create a crew.  

Creating a Crew

Select the team boat you are wanting.  

Crew Name: To keep it consistent use the following to create a crew name

Boat - Surname Surname Surname Surname

e.g.MK4 - Bond Smith Jones Snow

If you have two athletes with the same surname then add in an intial J.Bond and S.Bond 

Names go in the seating order  then fill out the other details senior/U23/ etc and then men or women

Adding an Athlete to a Crew

Once a boat and crew name has been entered the athletes need to be added to that crew.

Only athletes who have been added to that session will pop up when creating a crew

Click on add athlete seat 1 and a dropdown menu appears for athletes who have been selected for attendance in that session

Select the athlete who is in seat 1 then repeat for all other seats

Creating a Favourite's Crew

If this crew is going to be used across the course of a number of sessions or going to be a fixed crew for a while then you can click on the star at the top right and that will create the crew as a favourite. 

In future, you can just click on favourite crew using the star button on the left hand side of the page and this crew will pop up and you can automatically select the crew

Adding Equipment To the Crew

Once the crew has been created you have the option to assign equipment

You can add it immediately or go back into the option later on

Click on assign equipment

Then click the equipment you would like to add to the crew (minimaX/Phone)

If you add the equipment prior to the start of the session then the minimaX will automatically upload when you download it in maxload as long as the programmed start and finish time of the session overlaps with the start time of the minimaX

Manually Uploading MinimaX if no equipment assigned at the start of the session

Upload the minimaX using max load as per usual

Go to the session and then into crew and as per above assign the equipment to the crew

In the session you are wanting to add the minimaX to, click on imports on the left hand side of the screen then click on import data on the top of the screen

In import data, click on the crew at the top pop-up box

Then click on LZMA and from there you can pick the MinimaX and locate the minimaX unit 

Select the minimax then click import
