AMS - Browser Navigation
Follow the instructions below to learn how to navigate through the AMS when using a web browser
When you're using the AMS you will notice that the most important navigation options are in the header bar. From left to right, you will find the AIS logo, home page link and various drop down menus for various tools such as data entry, reporting, programming, scheduling and other.
Depending on your role you may have different options available to you from these drop down menus.

Near the right hand side of the header bar you may see a group indicator and profile menu (icon with three dots). This indicates which group of athletes you currently have loaded.
If you don't see the group indicator, it is because you are either an athlete and don't need to change groups or you're the coach of a single group of athletes and don't need to change groups.

Next to the group indicator there is the profile menu (icon with three dots). This is where the link to the help documentation is located as well as the log out option.
Use the header bar to navigate to where you want to go within the AMS.
DATA ENTRY OPTIONS
1. Common Data Entry Forms
- Favorite Events Direct Entry – Frequently used forms can be saved to a user's front page for quick access.
- By hovering over the form icon and clicking “Enter Data”, practitioners can select the relevant athlete and immediately begin entering information.
- Users can customise which favorite events are positioned on their landing page by following the steps here.
2. Less Common Data Entry Forms
-
-
- "Enter Data for Athlete" Tab – Practitioners can select an athlete and then search for the required form. This method remains a widely used approach for entering athlete-specific data.
-
3. Accessing Existing Data
- Practitioners can click on an entry record from the landing page dashboard to view the original data entry. From there, they can review, edit, or add additional data as needed.
DATA CONSUMPTION - DASHBOARDS
Dashboards remain the most effective way to view data. Practitioners can easily access them through three different methods:
1. Favorite Dashboards Section
Frequently used dashboards, including current discipline front page dashboards and sport-specific dashboards, can be stored here for quick access. Users can customise this section to fit their needs.
2. Landing Page Dashboard
Each discipline-specific landing page dashboard displays key data sources identified by discipline leads and working groups. Critical sections, such as "Action Items" and "Shared Comms," ensure that essential information is readily available.
3. Dashboards Tab
Less frequently used dashboards can still be accessed via the search functionality in the “DASHBOARDS” tab located along the top ribbon.
DATA CONSUMPTION - REPORTS
Reports can still be accessed using the search functionality within the “REPORTS” tab located in the top navigation ribbon.
No changes have been made to this aspect of the AMS, ensuring a familiar and consistent user experience.
Sidebar (Limited Use)
The left hand side of the page if permitted may have a sidebar. This is used for displaying the athletes you have access to if you are a coach. If you are an athlete or you select an athlete from the sidebar, it will show you the forms that you have access to as part of your role.
You can chose a form from the side to see the history for that form or enter a new record.

In the middle of the page you will see what you have your home page set up to see until you navigate away from it to do something else.

If you have an athlete selected in the left hand side bar, then the athlete side bar will show on the right hand side of the page. This displays the athletes picture and some of their contact details.

When an athlete has a status such as currently injured or ill then a status indicator maybe displayed next to the athletes name.

If any critical information has been recorded for the athlete, then the right hand side bar will show this too.

Underneath the athlete details, you will find links to your favourite events if you have these set.
You can collapse the athlete side bar by hovering your mouse over it and selecting the hide option.
