Setting Up Catapult Connector
What you need to do
You will need to contact Catapult support to enable the "API Token Admin" module in your OpenField account. Once confirmed:

Navigate to the OpenField Cloud and click on Settings.

Click on API Tokens from the left hand Settings menu.

In the text box, select or enter the name of the system you want OpenField to integrate with.

Click the checkbox beside Token never expires or select a expiry date for the token from the Date picker.

Select the scope of the token.

Select Create.

From the next menu, copy the API Token to the clipboard and use for the intended integration. You will not be able to view this token again once the window closes.

Select Close.

Mapping Athletes
Smartabase uses the Catapult Athlete ID to map people’s accounts between the platforms. These Athlete IDs can be retrieved via OpenField's settings. These values are imported into the Catapult profile form using the standard data import process:
- Open the Smartabase main application on a web browser. Ensure you’ve loaded a groupthat contains all the people that you’re mapping.
- Select Import profile data. Provided you have permission to do this, it will appear as a front page button or within the navigation bar.
- Choose the Catapult profile form.
- Add a CSV file containing the list of people to map and their Athlete ID numbers (this can be provided by your Smartabase consultant), then click Upload. You do not need to generate a template for this task.
- Choose the appropriate Identifiers from the dropdown. These will be the columns containing the names of the people you’re mapping. If the names aren’t an exact match, you’ll be able to manually search for and map the correct people to the names in the file.
- Confirm the CSV columns have mapped correctly to the form.
- Click Next, then click Import.
To add people after this initial import, you can either add the details for an individual using Profile data entry or complete the import process for multiple new accounts at once.

How often does the connector sync to the AMS?

Data is synced every 60 mins.
Is data automatically backdated?
- The connector will look for data in the last 7 days every time it syncs so it will capture newly created users and sessions within that timeframe.
- To back sync further beyond this timeframe contact the AIS AMS team and provide the requisite athlete and session details.
Does the connector detect changes after the initial sync?
- Any changes in Catapult software within the last 7 days will be automatically updated.
